20TH SIR PADAMPAT SINGHANIA MEMORIAL ALL INDIA SCIENCE QUIZ- 2018
AUGUST 30, 2018

20th Sir Padampat Singhania Memorial all India Science Quiz- 2018 started on 29th August in the school premises. 24 school teams of repute from all over India participate in it. Mr. N. Sriniwasan Rao, RRSC (GM ISRO) Jodhpur honored the programme as chief guest. The quiz master of the day was, Mr Abhishek Sen Gupta.


Welcome song ‘Count your blessings…’ by the school choir welcomed everyone and was praised by one and all. In his welcome speech the Vice Principal, Mr. P. Kumar welcomed the chief guest, Guests of Honour, teachers and participants who had gathered to make the competition a grand success. Twenty four teams participated, which were divided into two groups. Mr. Abhishek Sen Gupta introduced the participants and started the competition. The first round comprised questions from Physics, chemistry, life science, mathematics and computer science. The top eight teams were able to make into the final round. They were Vaish Model Public School Bhiwani, LKSEC Gotan, Maheshwari Public School Jaipur, DPS Jodhpur, Laxmipath Singhania School Kankroli, RKK Jodhpur, Maharana Mewar Public School Udaipur and Pinegrove School Solan (HP). The final round comprised of questions from various science streams and computer field in the form of MCQ (multiple choice questions), Buzzer Round, Wheel of Fortune, Clue Round, Audio Visual Round and Rapid Fire Questions. The quiz master Mr. Abhishek let the audience also to participate by asking questions to them related to current affair.


After the competition Chief Guest, Mr. Rao informed the students about the working and scope in ISRO. He also guided the students about the various streams of science especially space technology. He told the students about ISER and NISER and the scope of research in new India. He spoke high about the standard of the quiz and said that he was deeply impressed by the infrastructure, faculty and facilities provided to the young generation.


Later on results were announced and the host school L.K. Singhania Education Centre Gotan was declared winner. DPS Jodhpur clinched the runners up position while Pinegrove School, Solan settled for the third position.


JULY 10, 2018

LKSEC Basketball (Boys U-14) team lifted the All India Inter Public School Championship 2018 trophy. The Championship held at Sainik School, Nagrota, Jammu. The final match was played between Maan Public School, Delhi and LK Singhania, Gotan.

LKSEC PERFORMS HAWAN BEFORE NEW SESSION 2018-19

LKSEC Gotan started its new academic session 2018-19 by performing Saraswati Pooja and Hawan Yagya in the school Campus. A Hawan was organized in which the Principal R C Joshi and other admin and teaching staff members, parents and all the students of LKSEC were present before the start of new session. on the occassion Principal R C Joshi spoke about the inculcation of the religious values in our students.


ANNUAL TOWN OUTING 2018

It has been quite rightly said that the heart of education lies in education of the heart . And … a child’s heart not only seeks knowledge but also yearns for fun and frolic as well as learning through experience of new and exciting things, places and people. It is thus that our school provides it’s students a rejuvenating break from their hectic and at times monotonous routines through excursions like the annual town outing. The students of all the hostels of our school went to AJMER (Parle Factory, Birla Water Park and Nareli Temple) for their annual town outing. It was indeed a wonderful day filled with fun and frolic for all. The students enjoyed in the big swimming pool, water fall with rain dance, colorful sliding pathways, jumbo rides, Visit to Parle Factory & Nareli Temple and a scrumptious meal. They thoroughly enjoyed this day with their peer, returning to the school with wonderful memories and a rejuvenated spirit.



GLOBAL INNOVATIVE SCHOOL AWARD (GISA-2018)

LKSEC received the Global Innovative School Award (GISA-2018) for exemplary performance of the school in 5 areas – Impact, Academic performance, Cultural inclusion, Social awareness and use of technology. In the felicitation ceremony held in Dubai on January 27, the school was felicitated with a certificate and trophy. The ceremony was organised jointly by Birla Institute of Technology and Science, Pilani, Dubai Campus and Phyzok. The award has added another feather to the cap of LKSEC.


LKSEC RECEIVED THE PRESTIGIOUS “ISA AWARDS”, AT NEW DELHI ON 13 DEC., 2017

In the academic session 2016-17, LKSEC had initiated the process to instill a global dimension into the learning experience and registered for the British Council International School Award (ISA).


The British Council offers the International School Award (ISA) as an accreditation framework for schools to record and evaluate their international work and embed it into the curriculum and whole school ethos.


After successfully completing several International Projects and activities, evidence based 300+ page portfolio was submitted to the British Council for accreditation.


The Portfolio submitted by our school has been approved and school has been successfully awarded the British Council International School Award (ISA) for the period 2017-2020.


The International School Award (ISA) is a benchmarking scheme that accredits schools as having an outstanding level of support for nurturing global citizenship in young people and enriching teaching and learning following best international practices.


ISA provides a framework for schools to develop an action plan and implement international activities throughout the year, and encourages schools to collaborate with overseas schools to create a rich learning experience for students through use of ICT, creative pedagogical practices and real context for learning. International School Award recognizes and celebrates exemplary practices of internationalism in schools.

ALL INDIA INTER PUBLIC SCHOOL IT FEST 2017

Computer geeks from 26 IPSC schools across the whole national have gathered to show their talent in the IPSC IT Fest 2017 in LK Singhania Education Centre, Gotan. The event was inaugurated on 11th Nov 2017 by Mr. B.K. Arora, Business Head, J.K. White Cement Works. Mrs. Sushma Arora graced the event as Guest of Honour. They were welcomed by the Cultural Secretary (Girls) Ms. NIstha Vaswani and Sports Captain (Boys) Master Parikshit Neyol.


The Programme began with the lightening the lamp in front of Maa Durga, Goddess of knowledge by the Chief Guest Mr. B.K.Arora, Guest of Honor Mrs. Sushma Arora, Principal Mr. R C Joshi, Vice Principal Mr. P.R. Kumar and other members of administration, followed by the melodious group song “Jaise Suraj ki Garmi ko……”


Later on there was a photo shoot of all the participants with their mentors and escorts who came from length and breadth of the nation including Scindia School, Scindia Girls School Gwalior, VDJS Hisar, Vallabh Ashram Valsad, Modern School New Delhi, The Assam Valley School Balipara Assam, Birla Vidya Mandir Nainital, B.K. Birla Centre for Education Pune, The Daly College Indore, MGD Jaipur, Mayo Boys Ajmer, Pinegrove School Solan HP, Rajmata Krishna Kumari Girls Public School Jodhpur, Rajkumar College Rajkot etc.


In his welcome speech Chief Guest Mr. B.K. Arora welcomed all the participants, their teachers and judges on the gala event. He was very optimistic that the students will mesmerize one and all by their innovative thinking and creativity. He thanked IPSC for giving such a big platform to the students to show their hidden talent and exchange their views. He said that the real winner is the one who can fulfill his dream. He was very sanguine that the students who have gathered here to show their talent will mark their presence for a very long time and will pursue their dreams in future. Mr. Suraj Bhan Choudhary, Coordinator of the event in his welcome speech thanked Mr. B.K.Arora for sparing his valuable time. He praised the vision of Mr. B.K. Arora and said that it is his far sightedness that school is able to organize event on such a large scale.

The students will shown their capabilities and innovations in various competitions organized by the school from 11th November 17 to 12th November 2017, like Digital Poster Making, Power Point Presentation, Website Designing, Cartoon making, Java + MySql Programming, Computer Quiz and Computer Wiz Kid. Events will be evaluated by a team of expertise including Mr. Priyadarshi Patani, Mr. Shailendra Vijayvargia, Mr. Anirben Dey and Mr. Parampreet Grewal.


The closing ceremony of IPSC IT Fest 2017 concluded on 12th November 2017 in the gracious presence of Chief Guest Mr. Gavin Dabreo, an eminent entrepreneur, whose presence itself motivated not only the competitors but also one and all in the LKSEC campus. C.E.O. of NIIT’s famous K-12 school learning business, Mr. Dabreo is an MBA from Manchester Business School and has given his services in various organisations like FCB Ulka, Tata Telecom and Meru Cabs etc. He executed one of the largest digital education programme in Sri Chaitainya School and established India’s first edu-cloud network in partnership with Microsoft Corporation. Elegant presence of Guest of Honour Mr. B.K. Arora, Business Head J.K. White Cement Works and Mrs. Sushma Arora Vice President L.K. Singhania Education Centre enriched the environment of learning and innovation. Mr. R. C. Joshi, Principal, welcomed the Chief Guest, Guest of Honour, Participants, teachers and others on the closing ceremony.


In their address, the judges Mr. Shailendra Vijayvargia and Mr. Anirben Dey praised the efforts and innovation put in the IT competition and encouraged the students for pursuing their career in today’s most demanding field. They said that the participants must not restraint their talent only to this competition or for board exams. Nobody knows where one’s capability may take a person.


Chief Guest Mr. Dabreo in his speech tried to persuade the participants for achieving higher goals in their life. He gave few tips to the students to become successful entrepreneur. He asked the students to stay simple and humble in life. He also demanded not to haste to achieve, rather row the boat of life gently and follow your goal with rock solid determination. In his speech said we, the teachers can inspire, show the path, but it is the will, determination and hard work of pupil to make his future by his own planning. On this occasion Vice President of the School, Mrs. Sushma Arora presented mementos to the judges and teacher escorts. Mr. B.K. Arora, Guest of Honour presented memento to the chief guest Mr. Gavin Dabreo. The prize winners were given a trophy and a merit certificate by the chief guest Mr. Gavin Dabreo. Vote of Thanks was given by Mr. Suraj Bhan Choudhary, HoD I.T. Department where he thanked one and all for making the Competition a success. The programme was coordinated by Mr. Shankar Nath, HoD English.

BEST ZONAL TEACHER AWARD to Mr. Vinay Kumar Singh for the outstanding performance of the school in International Company Secretaries Olympiad 2016-17.
He was awarded with a trophy, a Citation and a Cheque of Rs. 5,000 from Academic Council of Science Olympiad Foundation as recognition & acknowledgement of his Vision & Academic initiatives on account of which students of our school exhibited outstanding performance in INTERNATIONAL COMPANY SECRETARIES OLYMPIAD 2016-17 in which more than 42,800 schools from over 1,400 cities spread across 25 countries participated. Our School students grabbed 21 medals in the event.


COMBINED ANNUAL TRAINING (CATC) FOR GIRLS CADET
JANUARY 5, 2017

Combined Annual Training (CATC) was organized by 3RAJ. NCC GIRLS BATTALION, Jodhpur from 25th Dec16-3rd Jan 2017 where our schools 20 girl’s cadets got selected to participate in it. Cadets have shown tremendous performance by keeping our school’ First in ‘-DRILL Competition,First in-line area competition.Not only this they have shown excellent Unity and discipline in the camp and was appreciated by the Camp Commandant Colonel. Ghanshayam Singh and by Dy.commandant Captain Priyanka Chauhan.


Our girl cadets have learned how to March smartly,pitch a Military tent,Accurate firing,Judging Distance,weapon Training with full energy and patriotism.

Our school played four matches and won three out of them and made it to the semi-finals. Overall we were Second Runner’s up. Miss. Pragya and Miss. Aarti Prasad were declared as the man of the match trophies in their matches against Ashoka Hall, Ranikhet and DPS RK Puram, New Delhi.



HANDWRITING WORKSHOP

The handwriting workshop by Mr. Mohan Ray was conducted on 2nd, 3rd and 4th October, 2016 for two hundred seventy seven students from the Junior, Middle and Senior school. Mr. Mohan Ray, the Grapho-psychotherapist has pioneered Healthy Handwriting that can help anyone and everyone to improve handwriting in just few minutes.


The workshop helped the students to keep pace and improve handwriting. Mohan Ray’s healthy handwriting was unique; it was a quick method to develop result on the same day in just a few minutes. It ensured legibility and speed under stressful conditions especially during exams. It worked with a single goal: To make handwriting process easier and faster for the students.
