The LK Singhania Education Centre at Gotan came into existence as a full-fledged, premier residential school in July 1987 as a realization of the values and dreams of the great visionary, Late Lala Kamlapat Singhania. The school is Senior Secondary, co-educational English medium affiliated to the Central Board of Secondary Education, New Delhi. Accommodating 1650 students including 950 boarders from all parts of the country and internationally as well, the LK Singhania Education Centre is a unique mix of the traditional and modern. This centre is a multicultural, co-educational boarding school where traditions, religions and beliefs from all walks of life are respected and celebrated. The aim is to nurture each child individually to help them become global citizens.
Although the school was initiated in 1984 with the aim to provide education to the children of JK White Cement employees only, with the great social commitment of the JK organization, it meant that the school should be expanded to provide quality education to the children of one and all with the non-profit motive. Since then, the school has grown from strength to strength in every sphere of education as well as in sports and extracurricular activities to provide an integrated learning environment for all its students. The prominent transformational phase in its history came in 1987 when the centre started providing boarding facilities to students from all over India and abroad. The school is fully equipped with ultramodern educational facilities to ensure that all the needs of students for a truly holistic development are met with. All types of co-curricular activities, sports and games are highly encouraged for a perfect all-round development of students.
At the LK Singhania Education Centre, we are confident that our children see themselves as great thinkers, successful learners and future leaders. Being a premier co-educational boarding school, we also inculcate values in our students to sustain and enhance rich cultural heritage and also prepare young learners to keep pace with challenges to come.
Location
Gotan is a Small Hamlet in the District of Nagaur, Rajasthan. The school is located in a beautiful campus. Gotan is an industrial township and easily Accessible by road and broad gauge rail from Delhi, Mumbai, Kolkata, Guwahati, Jodhpur, Jaipur, Ajmer, Kota, Agra Lucknow, Chandigarh, Kalka etc. Gotan railway station is about 2 kms. From the school. Bus services from Nagaur and Ajmer are Very frequent and easily available via Merta City. The nearest aerodrome is just 110 Kms. away from jodhpur
Objective
The centre is committed to providing the highest standard of education not only to the wards of JK employees but to every people in and around Gotan and also across the country. Our school community is dedicated to providing a safe, secure and stimulating environment where all the children can develop their skills and talents in a Variety of ways and to the best of their abilities. We want the children to feel confident, to see themselves as successful learners, and to have responsible attitudes towards themselves and others. We also inculcate the students to sustain and enhance rich cultural heritage and also prepare Young learners to keep pace with the challenges to come.
LKSEC Story
LKS is a 10+2 co-educational, residential school affiliated to central board of secondary education, Delhi. The school inception on a not-for-profit basis dates back to the year 1984 with just one room and with mere 17 students. It is now situated in a sprawling campus of 200 acres and has strength of 1650 students presently. The school is a participating institution in the UNESCO Associated school project on networking in education for international cooperation and peace. the school is also a member of Indian public school’s conference (IPSC) LKSEC stand apart from its peers because of excellent infrastructure, close relationship between students and teachers and emphasis on holistic development with soft skill training both for students and faculty.

The school has taken significant strides in curricular and co-curricular activities, during the past years. We have continued to retain the recognition and affiliation by the Central Board of Secondary Education, Delhi as the school with Potential for Excellence. The school has been accredited with the status of ‘Rajasthan’s Number 1 Best Day cum Boarding school’.

A Soldiers’ Beneficiary Fund Trust was instituted with an amount Rs 2100000 raised through donation of one month’s salary of each and every willing member in the staff.

The school was associated with the UNESCO ASP Net.

Dr. Gaur Hari Singhania IPSC Life Time Achievement Award was instituted to acknowledge the honest contribution of the senior most IPSC member. The award carries a cash prize of Rs. 51000, a citation on silver plaque and a shawl.

The Children’s Conference for elders on Water Security of the Driest Region of India was organized.

IPSC Principals’ Conclave was held in 2005 .

The IPSC Cultural Festival was hosted.

Go-Karting was started and was instated by the then only Formula 1 racer Narayan Kartikeyan during the IPSC Cultural Festival hosted by LKSEC in 2003. The over-speed of the karts and the time taken by rounds by the karters can be easily checked and controlled by the computerised mechanism located in the centre of the Go-Karting track.

Community Services
LKS places a lot of importance on social responsibility of the students. It inculcates the habit of social giving in the students through different activities. It has the Social Involvement Programme. Donating things on religious festival to the deprived and parentless children in the orphanage is a yearly feature. Collecting school supplies to offer, planting a school garden, holding a recycling habit , planting trees, creating a new trail at a nature centre, collecting used clothes to be donated, making first aid kits for homeless shelters are few of them that the students are expected to be involved in.
