Today we take you through the journey of a project which turned out to be a dream come true for us. In the month of Dec'
2022 we visited various nearby villages to forward sustainable development growth under the aegis of United Nations.
Taking inspiration and guidance from the project and keeping in mind that education is the most powerful weapon which
can be used to change the world, we selected imparting quality education in government schools as we think the best
course of action for transmission of civilization is education.
One of the elementary schools in a nearby village was adopted so that we could transform it. We, a team of 10 students
were decided on by our teachers to become the part of this change making journey. Over there we picked up students from
classes 4th and 5th.
They had inhibitions to speak even their names and while conversing with them we came to know that they couldn’t even spell their names in English. Gradually we found them opening up to our talks and coming out of their cocoons. Now it was time to strategize as we were aware of what was needed to be taught we chose subjects which were going to enhance their intellectual abilities and provide them with a creative outlet.
We went with teaching them basic aspects of their life in English language so that it could be infused in their vocabulary
and increase their confidence and communication skills. Mediums for creative expression such as rhymes provided them with
phonological awareness and musical fun. As for fine arts students were ecstatic to be a part of it as it allowed them to
recognize their uniqueness and nurture their inner capacities. The shimmer of hope in their eyes, the twinkling smiles
on their faces, the confidence emanating from their voices and the sense of accomplishment with which they glowed made
us feel that for the first time in our lives we had achieved something akin to real happiness
It’s said that every ending is a start of a new beginning and even with this departure we ensure you that the hope ignited
will never be diminished as this world is full of endless possibilities even for them.
